DEATH STRANDING
Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima's game, possesses a unique aesthetic that blends science fiction with surreal horror and desolate landscapes of unsettling beauty. This web interface concept captures that atmosphere in a promotional design that functions as a narrative experience in its own right. The project explores how to translate the game's sense of isolation and mystery into a two-dimensional interactive medium, without relying on conventional screenshots or generic landing page structures.

> death-stranding@mission-control:~$ diagnostics --run ERROR: Kojima's aesthetic demands an extreme level of visual detail — every texture, particle, and transition must feel intentional and loaded with meaning. WARN: The game blends science fiction with surreal horror and human connections. That combination does not fit any conventional web template. CRITICAL: The visual identity must generate intrigue and emotional tension without revealing narrative spoilers. Every visible element is a potential spoiler in a game where mystery sustains the entire experience.
The design envelops the user in a foggy atmosphere built with layers of animated mist and minimalist typography that emerges from the background like signals in an empty landscape. Subtle glitch effects on section transitions evoke the game's temporal anomalies, reinforcing tension without being intrusive. Sections reveal information progressively — just like the gameplay — through scroll-triggered animations that meter out lore, characters, and mechanics under a desaturated palette with golden accents that anchor the gaze.
